Besides being a humanized version of everyone's favorite search engine (ask him anything, he's sure to give an insightful reply), Mr. John Barker is a good friend. Scratch that, a great friend. He's one of those few people who really, really listen to you when your speaking. A very charming quality. He also has passion. Whether he's talking about his new son, or pleading his case for a miserable Diamondbacks team (I recognize that he'll eventually, sometime during my life, get me to sit down and watch an entire soccer match purely because he can be so convincing), he is always affecting. He is lucky though. He has a wife, a wife who's just as arresting as he can be. I've always been quietly impressed with Shauna's career. Though seeing her interact with Bo, a smiley, cooperating, future baseball MVP, I think she'll be even more poignant to me as a mother. Thrown into the trio is the lovable Roxy. A bashful bulldog who didn't hesitate to ambush me with an ear-licking when she was given the chance. This is the Barker's.
