Free Music: MIA - "Get Around"

London born rebellious rapper-singer and Paper Plane creator, MIA, released a free mixtape amusingly titled "Vicki Leekx", a 19 song firestorm of frenetic production and rowdy lyrics.

She's always been a free spirt, and she earned even more points in my book by apparently being the only one willing to take a shot at Lady Gaga, "she's the industry's last stab at making itself important." I'm a fan of Gaga's music, don't crucify me yet, I'm just happy to see someone willing to poke fun at her "why so serious" persona.

It's not as catchy as "Paper Planes", but it's far more infectious than anything off her last major released LP.

Kaitlyn Murphy -The Senior

Right now, she's probably surrounded by four sides of brick. But before she took her sarcasm and theatrics to a small little dorm cage, in a town generalized for being a refuge for drunk indians and eccentric hippies, Kaitlyn Murphy was my subject, my muse. She openly discussed with me her passion for american authors like Joseph Heller and J.D. Salinger. She was reading Invisible Man at the time of our shoot (she's got fine taste I must profess). In school she was president of the drama club. Outside of school she is a long boarder, though she'll be the first to confess she's not a pro. She's honest with herself. She longs to dive into pediatrics, and work in spanish country, preferably. I really relished in her sense of humor. She shared hard knock life stories of living as a ginger, and I followed her up with a request to have her look up a music video for MIA's "Born Free", which depicts the extermination of red heads. Which is how I was able to capture the amusement in the image directly below these words. This is Kaitlyn Murphy.
