Trevor & Kathryn -The Wedding Collection-

By this time we were onto our second location, which was sandwiched in between an indian reservation and a busy Arizona freeway. The three of us were on fire. We spent the previous hour shooting at the Mesa Temple,  where Trevor & Kathryn were killing it, being enamored with each other they displayed a loving bond. More interesting was the galvanizing comedy routine between the two of them, and my ribs took a beating. I've learned how hilarious indecency can be through my friend Ryan (usually included the ripping-off of clothes). They were of course being facetious, which made them even more likable. But albeit, things got a bit wacky.


We were soon visited by a listless man, who claims he spotted us from the freeway and in sloppy english told us "this is very cool, what your doing". Our shoot was halted indefinitely while he took pictures of me taking pictures (if you're asking me why I let him it's because I have "get-you-killed-kindness"). Finally, he took his sense of ennui, and peaced out. After the photo shoot within the photo shoot ended, miraculously the mood wasn't stampeded. Which speaks volumes about this couple. They remained cool and collected and moments after the visit from bizarre-man-in-the-geo-metro, these two fell comfortably back into "I'm obsessed with you" mode. Gotta dig that. This is the wedding of Trevor & Kathryn.

Matt & Erika -The Engagement Collection-

ESPN will be knocking on his door. She'll be slamming numbers. Their future posterity will be blessed with a Father who is able to articulate his thoughts, and who'll be able to show them how rewarding great writing can be. In the other corner, and on the other side of the brain, they'll be so fortunate to have a Mother who will happily teach them the cruel world of mathematics. Their first date, ice-skating. A writer, an accountant. Yet those are just careers. Those are just individual talents. It's what they'll accomplish and create together that will allow their children to triumph. The whole is greater than the sum of its parts. And these two exude joy. Matt's laugh is like this ground-vibrating bellow, a booming Darth Vader chuckle (a lot less sinister though), and Erika who seems to be upbeat naturally, constantly displaying her billboard smile. This is what happiness looks like. This is Matt & Erika.

Robbie & Chelaine -The Engagement Collection-

If you look close you can see athletics in their DNA. If you look even closer they have volleyballs reflecting proudly in their pupils. They are the most sprightliest couple I've ever photographed. Blessed with a lioness like body, Chelaine has been leaping out of gyms and punishing her on court prey for ages. Lately, the SCC volleyball team has been collaborating with her on her lifelong spiking onslaught. Though she might be slightly carnivorous in the gym, off the floor she's just as polite and gregarious as her future husband.

Robbie or "Bubba" can seem rather reticent at moments, but this man is also a beast on the hardwood. I have impulses to crawl up in to the fetal position when he prepares for his air assault on the volleyball court and when I'm the unlucky one on the other side trying to survive. I guess I'm grateful I'm not a member of the real opposition, those who face his GCU team. Anyway, both might be ferocious members of elite volleyball teams, but the real ferocity lies in the bond these two have together. They elicit such a strong fondness for one another, and it becomes rather endearing for me sitting behind my camera, witnessing and documenting their friendship. This is Robbie and Chelaine.
