Being arguably one of the best huggers in the entire state, I looked forward to the warm embrace Rachael would give me on what very well could be the happiest day of her life. I can testify that it was well worth the wait. She squeezed me with the excitement of a dozen children on christmas morning. She's an emotional woman, but never in a depreciative way. She's comfortable with laughing all the time, and becomes glossy eyed quite frequently in moments of pure joy.
My favorite moment of the day came when she was having one of these moments. An hour before they were to be married, Rachael walked up slowly to her dashing man, as they shared some of the most intimate, and emotionally provocative five minutes i've ever experienced as a wedding photographer. Isaac, an expert in humility, fully capable of making all those around him completely comfortable, exuded felicity, as he kissed his bride to be. Moments later he was in shock. He was crying. Then laughing followed as both him and Rachael were amused at the unexpected depth of emotion that sprouted from this 'sneak peek'. It was a blessing to be put in a situation where I was a witness to something so personal, and impacting. This is the wedding day of Rachael & Isaac.
NOTE: My best friend, Daniel Dawson, captured their wedding day beautifully in video form. Check the link below.
SO WEIRD! I am looking at these gorgeous pictures of this gorgeous couple and then I realized I totally grew up with this guy! We went to the same elementary school, middle school and high school together. And we had the same wedding photographer. What a small world. These are again, gorgeous. You are great.
